In short

  • Use Rosterr to run your group, fairly and lawfully.
  • No spam, harassment, impersonation or illegal content, in Mail or anywhere else.
  • No breaking into other accounts or workspaces, and no overloading the Service.
  • One person may own up to three workspaces on the Free plan. Owning more gets all of them suspended while we review it.
  • Report problems at /report-abuse.
  • Think we got it wrong? Appeal at /appeal. Two different people on our team look at every appeal.

This summary helps you find your way. The full text below is what applies.

01Who this applies to

Everyone who uses Rosterr, and every workspace. It is part of the Terms of Service.

02Content

Do not post, store or send anything that:

  • is illegal, or sexualises or endangers children in any way;
  • harasses, threatens, bullies or discriminates against anyone;
  • shares someone's personal information without a good reason and the right to do so;
  • infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
  • breaks Roblox's or Discord's rules, including about real-money trading or off-platform payments;
  • contains malware or links meant to steal accounts or passwords.

03Rosterr Mail

  • No spam: no bulk or unsolicited email, and no buying or scraping address lists.
  • Do not pretend to be another person, workspace or company, or hide who you are.
  • Do not try to get around the sending limits, for example by spreading sends over many mailboxes.
  • Do not use Mail to collect passwords, sign-in codes or payment details.

Email from a workspace inbox is the workspace's responsibility. Its footer tells recipients how to report it.

04Security and the API

  • Do not access, or try to access, an account or workspace that isn't yours.
  • Do not probe, scan or test our systems for weaknesses without our written permission. To report a weakness, follow SECURITY.md in our source code.
  • Do not overload the Service, get around rate limits, or scrape it outside the published API.
  • Do not share API keys or bot tokens, or put them in public games or code.
  • Do not use VPNs or proxies to get around a ban or a block.

05Fair use of the Free plan

The Free plan is for running your own groups. One person may own up to three workspaces on the Free plan. Workspaces on a paid plan don't count towards that limit.

  • Do not create or collect Free workspaces to get around plan limits, to hold on to groups you don't run, or to sell or trade them.
  • Do not use other accounts, or ask other people to own workspaces for you, to stay under the limit.

We check this automatically every day. If someone owns more than three Free workspaces, we suspend every workspace they own, open an abuse report and email them. Nothing is deleted, and a member of our team reviews every case.

If you think we got it wrong, or you run that many groups for a good reason, reply to that email or write to abuse@rosterr.cc. Moving workspaces you don't need to someone else, or upgrading them, also helps.

06Fair use of records

Rosterr holds records that can affect someone's place in a group. Keep them accurate, record only what you need, and do not use moderation cases, logbooks or activity data to harass someone.

07What we do

We may remove content, switch off a mailbox or feature, revoke API keys, or suspend an account or workspace. We choose what fits the problem and, where we can, tell the person or workspace why.

Some checks run automatically, such as the Free plan limit. A person reviews every automatic suspension.

Where the law requires it, or someone is at risk, we report to the authorities.

08Appeals

If we suspend your account or a workspace, the email we send you has a reference. If you think we got it wrong, send that reference, the address we wrote to and what you want us to know at /appeal.

One member of our team reviews your appeal, and a different person has to confirm their decision before it is final, so no one decides an appeal alone. We email you the outcome.

Suspending an account or workspace doesn't delete anything in it.

09Reporting

Report abuse at /report-abuse. For copyright complaints, follow the Copyright and IP policy.
